Hi there and welcome to the Bridal Blog pages from Savvy Cinderella.
Savvy Cinderella was started in 2008 by me, Sue Lovell, as an alternative to expensive High Street Bridal stores and the gamble of seemingly cheap internet ordering. Offering a one to one service, beautiful designer dresses and custom made gowns, with accessories at sensible prices all from our premises in Manea, the heart of the East Anglian Fens. The aim of the Savvy Cinderella website is to showcase our fantastic dresses and veils which are available to buy and to hire, and also put brides in touch with other like minded companies, that offer exceptional service and products but with an eye for keeping the price within budget for Savvy Brides. We also put brides in touch with each other when buying or selling no longer required, unaltered wedding dresses on our Find Me My Dress page
We pride ourselves on being the original and best Savvy Cinderella. Our clients come from all over the UK. Europe and now even America to buy or to hire their wedding dress, and our website and blog is visited by Savvy Brides from all over the world, who enjoy the money saving tips, wedding ideas, as well as the articles posted. Since my 5 minutes of fame on BBC’s Radio 2 with Jeremy Vine, and Claire Young from the Apprentice, early in Jan 2009, we have quickly established a reputation of being one of the Bride2be’s ‘ best kept secrets in the heart of the Fens” and have been contacted from brides (and their dad’s) from all over the country, wanting to know more about us and how we operate. Hiring a wedding dress and accessories is really becoming popular in these uncertain financial times, but we feel it is important to have a choice, so we can supply new dresses for hire, as well as to buy. We have designed our blog to let you get a feel for how we work at Savvy C’s, to see the people behind the website. We welcome any questions you may have, or tips you would like to share, to help other brides get the most of their bridal budget.
We would love to be a bridal shop of lace and loveliness, but that would increase the price of the dresses, which would defeat the object of being savvy. So we work more on a warm welcome, comfortable and air-conditioned private surroundings and beautiful dresses at affordable prices. We operate on an appointment only basis, so you get the full opportunity to try on as many dresses as you want, without being interrupted, without feeling stressed or hurried.
In store we have a wide range of wedding gowns and bridesmaid dresses, veils and tiara’s and shoes available for immediate hire, and can supply dresses from Romantica of Devon for made to order dresses. Our seamstress is available for alterations, which we charge at cost, to help keep you to your budget. We can also quote for alterations for dresses purchased elsewhere. We are proud to introduce our own range of Savvy Cinderella dresses, chosen with you in mind, to flatter the figure, which can be custom designed to suit your needs.
We are very pleased to now offer Savvy Ultimate Formal Hire, for the men in the wedding party. We now have the ability to help you perfectly match your grooms party with the bridal party, ensuring a look that compliments perfectly. Evening appointments are available for your convenience, again in private, air-conditioned surroundings, operated with the same informal and friendly approach.
